Port Hedland’s biggest free community celebration returns this July with two huge days of rides, food, entertainment and family fun at Town Oval.
Friday 24 July - 5pm - 10pm

What you can expect this year!
Fireworks!
Witness the vibrant burst of the fireworks, hear the crackle and boom as they dance in the night sky above from 8pm Saturday night.
Amusement Rides and Sideshow Alley
Where the thrill of spinning, soaring, and laughter intertwines. Embark on the thrill-seeking adventures of the Nitro, Gravitron, Cliff Hanger, Dodgem Drift Cars and more.
Step right up into the excitement at Sideshow Alley, challenge your skillset with old classics like Laughing Clowns, Shooting Galley, and Catch a Duck. For a whole lot of family fun and prizes for all! Take away a show bag full of treats and toys.
Food Vendors - Eat Street
Indulge in an abundance of food and beverage as you wander Eat Street. The tempting aromas and diverse flavours are sure to satisfy your taste buds.
Market Stalls - Marketplace
Explore the Carnival Marketplace, where a unique blend of goods enhances the shopping experience. Clothes, jewellery, honey, new cars, and everything in between, Spinifex Spree will be sure to please.

Entertainment for the event will include live music, roving performers, family friendly activities, and more!
Quiet Hour
New in 2026, Quiet Hour will be held from 11:00am – 12 noon on Saturday. An initiative designed to reduce sensory stress for attendees, creating a more welcoming carnival experience for community members. Developed in consultation with Hedland Access and Inclusion Action Group, Quiet Hour will include:
- No flashing lights and reduced lighting
- Reduced or no onsite music
- Stopping all PA announcements (excluding emergencies)
- Introduction of rest spots throughout the site
The Bubble Canteen

Welcome to The Bubble Canteen, a magical installation where the air sparkles with 12,000 bubbles each minute; a world of wonder and delight, capturing and connecting directly to the hearts of your audience.
Crafted by the imaginative hands of Beryl, Annie, and Helga—three charming golden spinster sisters from Dublin—The Bubble Canteen is more than just an attraction; it's a vibrant celebration of creativity and joy.
These spirited sisters infuse every bubble with whimsy and warmth, inviting all who visit to connect with the installation and each other.
Designed with inclusivity at its core, The Bubble Canteen offers an entirely visual experience free from language barriers. Here, every shimmering bubble tells a story, and every visitor can share in the magic regardless of age or background.
It's a place where the simple joy of a floating bubble can evoke profound feelings of happiness, wonder, and awe.
The Golden Oldies (Annie, Freda and Beryl)
A warm, family-friendly daytime version full of nostalgia, play, and charm.
The Boys In Blue
A vibrant, after dark version with a Pet Shop Boys – style aesthetic, perfect for evening audiences.
Play Date
1 show Friday, 2 shows Saturday (20-minute duration)
Pop duo and best friends Turtle and Sugar Rush bring you the ultimate dance and play party; where you and your little ones can boogie on down together.
